Getting the RC to work
Since we already have the rover installed with all its mechanics and motor control, all we have to do is to hook the RC receiver up to it.
The RC transmitter/receiver pair used is the FlySky FS-TH9X 2.4 GHz 9 channel transmitter receiver.
The RC receiver has 9 channel inputs, one battery, and one bind input.
Using the default transmitter configuration, I hooked up Channel 1 with the throttle motor, Channel 2 with the steering motor, and the battery input with a pair of wires soldered from the LiPo connections.
Turn on the transmitter, and voila... We have a fully operating RC rover. Using the left stick vertically, we can go forward or backward. Using the right stick horizontally, we can steer left or right.
